Winding Creek was begun with the aim of building a church whose worship is both powerful and biblical—worship that is in both spirit and truth.

A nursery for infants 0-3 years is provided during classes and the worship service. During the pastor's message
activities are offered for
children ages 4–7 and 8–10 years. Parents are also welcome to
keep their children with them during the entire service.

Services start at 10:15 am and end between 11:45 and Noon. Coffee and pastries are served before and after the service. Our music is a mix of choruses and hymns. We aim for worship that's alive in the spirit but also with biblical substance and integrity.

Each service includes passages read from the Old and New Testaments, a Psalm, prayers on various biblical topics, and reading aloud questions and answers from the Heidelberg Catechism. We sometimes hear an encouraging word from a member and most always hear a sermon from the pastor.
The whole service is based on Scripture, with the aim of honoring God while building faith in attenders—what biblical worship is designed to do.

In the Old Testament, especially the Psalms, God's people are called to expressive worship. That call was not set aside by the Apostles and is part of New Covenant worship.

That's why at Winding Creek we aim for worship that's whole-hearted and in God's presence. Though our services are well ordered, expressions of heartfelt praise such as lifting of hands and clapping are encouraged as part of biblical worship.
We employ both choruses and hymns supported with tasteful instrumentation, all with the goal of showing due reverence with joyful praise, adoration and thanksgiving. On most Sundays our music team includes vocals, keyboards, cello and drums, as well as acoustic,
electric and bass guitars.
Songs are chosen for their doctrinal content and musical excellence. And since Biblical worship means congregational worship, we don't aim for a band centered, concert-like setting, but a blend of the congregation and music team's voices—so we worship together as one church body.

And lastly, though we pursue whole-hearted praise—"Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth; break forth into joyous song and sing" (Psalm 98:4)—our worship can be joyful but never overly loud.

Winding Creek is part of Grace Network of Churches, also called Grace Presbytery. Grace
Network is made up of a group of connected churches primarily in the Eastern United States. The network enjoys a close relationship with two sister networks—Ground Level in England and the Hatfield Churches in South Africa.

Network Churches are Charismatic, in that they look for the Holy Spirit's help in their work and worship; Apostolic, being committed to the Apostles’ doctrine and practice as found in the New Testament; Reformed, since they hold to the foundational truths recovered during the Reformation period; and Evangelical in their commitment to church-planting and world missions.
Churches can
be diverse in both worship styles and nonessential doctrines, but share a
common commitment to the primacy of Scripture and the core truths of
the Christian faith.

Winding Creek is committed to doctrinal
integrity. Our systematic theology is from the theological perspective recovered
during the Reformation period of church history. We are "confessional" in that we look
to certain historic reformed confessions in expressing what we believe the Scriptures teach.
All
truly Christian churches believe the Bible to be God's Word—the final authority for doctrine and practice. However, in our modern world where sharp

theological differences and outright error are prevalent, confessional churches
believe it's all the more important that churches publish and affirm their doctrinal positions.
In particular Winding Creek holds to the Heidelberg Catechism and the Belgic Confession. In our 2820 Classes and other curriculum we also make extensive use of the Westminster Confession and its Catechisms. As to the Creeds, along with most other Bible-believing churches we hold to the Nicene, Apostles' and Athanasian.
